This is the real McCoy, not a reissue. The serial number inside the soundhole is unreadable but features on this guitar would indicate production between the mid to late 1950's. It actually plays great with low action but does have some issues. The grand piano style bridge appears to have been replaced and possibly the pickguard. There is also some sinking around the soundhole , one of the original tuners has been replaced and a jack hole was drilled near the bridge pin. Binding on the guitar is in great shape but there is one 4 inch section missing from fingerboard that can be easily replaced if desired. There are no cracks anywhere on the guitar or neck, the wood is a wonderful flamed maple and the finish appears all original. Neck is straight with no separation from body. The guitar comes in an excellent 1970's Guild jumbo case as the original case litterely fell apart. Please see my feedback to assure that you can bid in confidence. Satisfaction is fully guarenteed minus return shipping.
