A rare find! This used ’57 Gretsch Duo Jet Reissue is a
beautiful guitar in great condition.
This is one of the better reissue models with the correct small
headstock, correct DeArmond style pickups with the correct winding, vintage
60’s roller-type bridge, and correct thumbnail inlays.
My father purchased this guitar new about 8 years ago. Everything works great and sounds
great. Most of the nickel hardware
has faded slightly, which is a natural characteristic of nickel this age.
This guitar has been discontinued. If you are a Beatles’ gear aficionado, then this guitar is a
must have. It’s an exact replica
of the guitar George Harrison used in the Cavern Club! Don’t miss out on this
one!
Here is the Musician’s Friend Description:
From the depths of the Cavern, the Duo Jet is back!
Brilliant, edgy DynaSonic pickups with independent volume
controls and a classic Gretsch Bigsby trem make this a hard-rocking retro
rocket with voluminous vintage vibe. Mahogany body with multiple-bound arched
maple top and bound ebony-stained rosewood fretboard on a mahogany neck add
fabulous feel and singing sustain. Roller bridge and deluxe high-gear-ratio
enclosed machines provide super stable tuning.??George Harrison bought his used
G6128T in Hamburg, Germany, and played it extensively during the Cavern era and
on early Beatles recordings!
