I am selling a 1962 Gretsch 6120 "Chet Atkins" electric guitar. Serial # is 51312. Judging by the serial number, I believe this beauty was manufactured later in '62 but is still one of the earliest double cutaway 6120's, in general. The mute control is not the usual dial-up knob found on the earlier double cutaway 6120's from 1961-62. This pretty baby plays and sounds GREAT! What else would you expect from a Gretsch? As you can see by the photos, it is in EXCELLENT condition with minimal wear thru the years, with the only real wearing being on the pad on the back. I have plenty more pictures I can send to anybody who wants to see them.
Also being sold with the guitar is this beautiful hard shell case. (not the original case) CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS!!
Bought by my late father-in-law in 1962 and played sparingly thru the years and well kept.
