Lots of play wear, but the finish is in good shape, with no chips. Even the neck has all the finish. The previous owner told me he was the original owner but failed to explain why he covered the serial # on the headstock. Clearly done long ago. Potentiometers date to May 1965 & everything else checks out with that date. everything is original on the guitar except the replacement pickguard, which will require some fitting to be properly placed. Wiring is all intact & original, resembling nothing other than Gretsch wiring which has a look & quality of its own. Pickups, pots, everything working just fine. Case is a bit road worn, as shown, but all there & everything functions as it should. The neoprene mute piece is worn out, but easily replaced, but few people use the mute. Chet even left it off his modern Gibson signature models.
