1967 Gretsch Country Gentleman, single mute, non imprl.
This Guitar has served me well an is in sound top performance shape.Solid as the day I bought her long ago, I am the 2nd owner.All electronics are original.
Neck is perfect, frets are in excellent shape and were re-done expertly by the Laguna Guitar Shoppe over 18 years ago. There is NO PITTING in the fret-board and the guitar has been strung with Pyramid Flat-wound strings since I've owned it. There is no separation at the neck joint.
I have shots of every issue I could find on the guitar, they are;1. The Famous Gretsch Binding crumble, this unfortunately is common on 99% of Gretsch guitars from the late 60's all the way to the earliest models. The price is reflecting this issue and based upon similar guitars with the same issue on the market. This issue does not affect the structural integrity of the guitar.2. some checking in the headstock veneer (see photo), this is only in the surface finish and the headstock is 100% solid and free from stress. 3. Loss of Gold, it's old, this happens.4. Re-fret. Professionally done and needed at the time as the issued frets were tiny and thin (not from wear, but just factory issued). 5. Scratchy volume pot. Again, it's an old guitar : )6. Felt on Mute fell off, before I bought it.
Comes with original case, in EX ++++++ condition.

I have recorded with this guitar on several records and this guitar has a sweet round tone (with the Pyramid flat-wound strings currently on it). It can also twang with a nice set of Slinky's on it.......Bigsby is smooth in action and intonation is NICE!!!!!! Great Guitar, full of songs waiting to be written!!!!
