This example of the Gretsch Chet Atkins Country Gentelmen came to me as a parted out piece. The body has faded to a lighter almost orange color that is evident when you look under the bixby. I was able to obtain the original harness and pickups and the body and neck. The large bean Grovers are period pieces. The rest of the hardware is new, as is the case. The neck was refretted and reset by a tallented luthier in Montana. At the time of completion of this project I had a beautiful original '60s Country Gent. and I chose to keep this one for playability and tone. I wouldn't take the original out of the case.
