You are bidding on an Epiphone Joe Pass model guitar. This one has select woods, as you can see in the pics, and is very flamey. The neck is perfect. No twist, bow, lumps etc. The frets show near zero playing wear and has Grover tuners on it. This guitar has an incredible set up , and has zero fret buzz !It is 100% gig ready. I added a Goto Tunamatic bridge which transformed the tone; very L5ish, with the added benefit of having the bridge saddle in the proper position. With the original bridge, the guitar is guaranteed to intonate poorly, not to mention the saddle will sit on the top cataywumpus. This one mod transformed the guitar! The guitar has no dings or scratches and comes with a new gig bag. This is a very early model, and actually looks as if it was made by Samik ((the same people that build some of the high end Gretsch's) The binding, fretwork and finish are far superior to the later models. This guitar is set up with D'Addario chrome flat wound 11's and very low action. There may be a couple cheaper on Ebay, but they are junk next to this guitar. It is a truly professional insturment.
Included is a NEW Road runner Gig bag..
this is a great guitar, and easaly compares with far more costly guitars-.Bid with confidence as I have nearly 220 feedbacks, 100% positive. You won't be disapointed.
Shipping is $39 to lower 48 only.
No zero feedbackers please. Please email me with any questions you might have.--I am adding this reply to an email I recieved . ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I took the guitar to Norms Rare Guitars for the bridge
install, and I asked them to put a date on it. The
most we could come up with was it was a Samick
build, much nicer the the Korean ones. (that's why I
bought it in the first place). Some of the
inventory must have been sent to Korea when Gibson first
built there factory there, and were stamped with a
different ser number.Internally distinguishing them
from the Korean built models, although still may have been
shipped from Korea. So we were not able to put an
exact date on it. -What I can tell you is it is
built just as well as my Gretsch. The binding
,neck finish frets, finger board , woods and
pickups are in a differnt league then the new
guitars. It is a first rate professional quality
guitar. In fact if it is not as good as I
described the send it back. -Some more suger for
you;The guitar has just got a COMPLEATE
PROFESSIONAL set up. In fact the fret work is
gorgeous. It plays like butter. If you look at the
pix then you can see the condition is probably
better then if you bought it new off the wall at
guitar center. Our best guess is mid 90s. - It's a
bitchen guitar, that any pro will like. -I am not
over describing this guitar just to sell it.
Checheck my feedback. They are mostley for high
end guitars. I just bought another L-5 CT and that
makes this one redundent for me.- The cool thing
is the price. It is easily as nice as a 175 but a
fraction of the price. ser #U04072581
