Greetings..

Up for sale is a real cool amp. Made by Gretsch, 1963. Comes with 2 original Jensen C12PS  8 ohm speakers, 2 6L6 Svetlana power tubes, 4 12AX7 Sylvania preamp and a 5u4 rectifier. All the information I could gather from the internet rates this amp at about 30 watts.

4 inputs,:...Low/High bass, vol, treble and one each for Guitar and Accordian, Vol and treble. There are 2 controls for vibrato and the foot switch has been hard wired instead of using the jack. The jack is still present but not connected. The low bass input has reduced volume...not sure why. The other inputs all sound fine. The bass input ( for bass guitar) sounds great for bass of guitar....more midrange and a tad less treble than the guitar input. The guitar input is brighter great for adding more treble to a darker sounding guitar and vice versa for the bass input. The accordian input is darker still but as loud as the others. It could tame a real bright sounding guitar if need be...but I only used the bass and guitar inputs.

Considering the age, the amp is in really good shape, the silkscreening on the control panel has some rusting/pitting but is still shiney and readable. On the bottom of the amp there are some holes in the corners like someone may have had casters on it. Holes are small and i never noticed them until I took pictures. New feet are present. There are some other holes on the inside of the baffle between the speakers, small but present. Don't know why they are there. Also I had to cut out the cross sections over each speaker opening as the glue that held the grille to them had dried out and the amp buzzed when turned up loud after I installed the Weber's. The guts inside appear to be original. I took pictures of the transformers. They appear to be original but I can't confrim this. The amp does not have any audible hum or buzzing. The Bass amp logo is missing from the upper left corner and the grill cloth has some small holes and areas where it has pulled, but still in great shape considering the age.

Speakers appear to have the original cones, small repaired hole in the corner of one of the speakers. I had 2 weber blue dogs in the amp but took them out when I decided it was time to sell. The Jensens' sound great, maybe a bit on the raspy side due to the age and I noticed a slight buzzing once I put the originals back in. Never heard it with the weber's...It would be annoying I guess if you were recording with  the amp but when playing in a band environment its not an issue...at least to me. However, I installed the Weber's because they really improved the overall sound of the amp. Much louder, punchier and you can dime the amp and get just the slightest bit of hair on it. The Jensen's give up the goods earlier....think the intro to the James Gang "Walk Away"

With the Webers in there its the perfect gigging amp...Nice stout refrigerator door type handle.....weight on my scale is 43 lbs....

I'm downsizing my collection. I've got speakers, and pickups for sale in other auctions here. If I was a gigging guitar player I would gig with this amp over my other ones. I have a 64 Deluxe with a Weber Blue dog (my favorite speaker!) that has been modified to accept 6L6 tubes...so i can get as close to the sound of this amp as I need to.

The JET 21 was just too confusing with DUO JET out there selling MORE AND MORE UNITS.
Gretsch went with the spruce top 17" TOWN AND COUNTRY Jumbo and stopped making this after one short season.

The Acoustic Version of the 1954 DUO JET...Called the JET 21.

Made in a VERY short run, then STOPPED due
to confusion with the DUO JET solid "electric" guitar.
The electric were selling more of the JET name was given to the
electric (Les Paul Style) Duo Jet,  and the acoustic JET 21 line
was dropped,  and this rare old amazingly tight and original guitar
is all that exists from the GUITAR that almost was forgotten.

Black original Finish.  Original neck set.
The lightning bolt was given to another headstock.

Here is an all original 1970s Gretsch Super Axe vintage electric guitar.   It plays and sounds amazing.   
There is some wear to the finish, lots of weather checking, as pictured. 
Playability and tone of the guitar is amazing.   Original pickups sound fantastic.  
This guitar has a built in compress and phaser!   Electronics work great but the phaser is not currently working.   It was working but then it stopped and we are not sure what is wrong with it.   Sold as is with the phaser not currently working.
Comes with real nice original hard case.
