Gretsch Guitars

  This used Gretsch Country Club is in absolutely mint, as-new condition. It has spent it's entire life stored in it's factory hardshell case. I hate to sell it, but the bills must be paid.  It is factory fresh and unplayed. These current Japanese-built Gretsch guitars are vastly superior to the originals. It's sad but true that the old USA built versions were not very well constructed. They looked great, but.......these new models look great, but are also meticulously assembled by highly trained luthiers.

  It's great that the smart folks at Fender decided to purchase Gretsch and started building high-quality versions of their beautiful vintage classics again. These new models look correct and  play and sound great. This 6196 is finished in a beautiful "Bamboo Yellow" color and has great woods used throughout. It has a solid spruce top and maple is used for the body and neck, while the fingerboard is rich rosewood with Hump-Block inlays. The headstock has the Gretsch logo inlayed in pearl and there is binding on the headstock and fingerboard. 

Gretsch calls the pickups "Dynasonics", but old-school guys like us call them D'armonds. And they term the bridge a "Synchro-sonic", but to us it's a Melita bridge. This guitar has beautiful multi-bound F-holes and the back finish is a gorgeous metallic burgundy-mist color. All in all, a very beautiful guitar that plays and sounds great.
