Gretsch Custom Guitars

Fred Gretsch Enterprises is very proud to announce the first three guitars from GRETSCH CUSTOM U.S.A. Using American master luthiers from Gretsch's rich history, these guitars exhibit the construction methods and specifications of legendary Gretsch guitars of an earlier era. Three initial models are re-creations of classic 1955 Gretsch hollow body electric guitars.

This guitar features a carved top of solid spruce and a hand rubbed lacquer finish. Country Club (Model G6196-1955)

This guitar was THE breakthrough electric for Gretsch. Following the Syncromatic models and predating the White Falcon, Nashville and other Hollow Body Electrics, this guitar was introduced in the early 1950's. It was named the Country Club in 1955. This guitar is 17" wide with a carved solid spruce top and 3 1/2" body of laminated maple. All hardware is 24K gold plated, the finish is hand rubbed lacquer with an ebony fingerboard and bridge base. Dynasonic pickups provide the authentic tone. This was the first Gretsch guitar to feature the volume control on the cutaway horn.

Nashville (Model G6120-1995)

This is the Rockabilly classic. This guitar, used by Eddie Cochran, has a 16" solid carved maple top with oversized f-holes. The headstock features specially selected flamed maple and Gretsch horseshoe. Even the back of the neck features the thin black line that was common to these guitars in 1955. That is the kind of detail offered from the Gretsch Custom U.S.A. line of electric guitars.
