Gretsch 1955 Country Club

Description:

The Country Club electric guitar was a breakthrough for Gretsch, following the Synchromatic models and predating the White Falcon, Nashville and other hollow body electric models. Introduced in the early 1950's, the Country Club name was first used in 1955. The Country Club is a hollow body electric guitar with a 17" wide carved solid spruce top and a deep 3 1/2" body of laminated maple. The finest materials are used, authentic to 1955 whenever possible. Ebony is used for the fingerboard and bridge base and all hardware is 24K gold plated. In addition, the finish is hand rubbed lacquer, just as it was 40 years ago.
