Gretsch Duo Jet - Model Number G6128TDS-R Duo Jet - Made in Japan
This guitar was built in January of 2005. I purchased this guitar in April of 2005. I am the original owner.
I purchased this guitar directly from Guitar Center. I have had extensive work done on this guitar, while still trying to retain it's factory appearance and settings.
All work was performed by Guitar Expert extraordinaire, Rich Beck in Tempe Arizona. Check out his list of clients.

Special Mods:
First: The tuning keys are Planet Waves "self-cutting" tuners. They work much better than the stock tuning pegs that come on these Gretsches.
Second: The bridge has been replaced with the "Synchro-Sonic" style bridge. Much better for this type of guitar.
Third: The bridge has been connected directly to the guitar body, so that there is no "floating" style bridge anymore. This was a major inconvenience, and which is why most duo jets sound out of key... because they are. The bridge keeps floating around while the guy is playing it.
This guitar is in fantastic condition. A 9.5 on the 10 scale. I still have the plastic on the back pieces. Light scuffing on the back of the guitar, no deep Levi marks, no belt buckle rash, nothing. No scratches. No dings. I have taken very good care of this guitar. The case is in perfect condition. The guitar has never left my home studio.
This might be the best Duo Jet in the state. Plays like a dream. Could probably use a good tune-up with strings and maybe a slight neck adjustment to your liking, but other than that, No Disappointments. You will be very pleased with the condition of this guitar. I still have the original tuning keys, and the original bridge. The case is in perfect condition. No scuffs, rips or tears in the vinyl.

In photo 6, you will see a little "indent" mark. The guitar came from the factory like this. It is painted and glossed over, so it was done at the factory.
I might have some paperwork on this guitar still, but no guarantees. I will look in my filing cabinet upon sale of this guitar.
