I bought this Gretsch Corvette a little while back. It is a great guitar and, aside from the small ding I tried to photograph, it has no issues. The guitar is very thin and I would compare it to a Gibson SG, but it sounds brighter. While I am happy with this guitar, I want to sell it because I'm still hunting for a guitar that is perfect 'me'. So yes, I'm selling it to seek out greener pastures. I will change the strings prior to shipping. The guitar comes with a Gretsch gig bag. Please ask if you have any questions.
This guitar is green and comes with Hilotrons. The store I bought this off of reported that it came from the factory this way and that I was the original owner. I was not aware that the factory was installing hilotrons in these new Corvettes. A friend of mine owns a '68 Corvette and it has hilotrons. Perhaps then, they put these pickups in so that it would be more like a sixties Corvette. Either way, they've got a nice clean sound and do not hum.
