We have a Guild X-170, seen in #7 next to the Gretsch, that we use in the studio, seen in #8 with bronze-phosphorous strings that fills our bill, This was a nice guitar that one client ”required” so we bought it and he ended up playing the Guild, go figure. It’s not so much the guitars moreover it’s the studio gear and vintage amps that do the trick. Any guitar can work, given it’s a professional grade instrument. This Gretsch is no slouch.
