This is a USED Grestch G5122 Double Cutaway Electromatic Hollowbody Electric Guitar. This guitar is 1 & 1/2 years old and is in mint condition. This instrument has been played with care and given the kind of maintenance you could only dream of when buying a used guitar.
Some notes about the guitar: I've upgraded the tail piece to replicate the style of the older gretsch models (a Kluson Archtop), which ultimately helped the guitar stay in tune better. In addition, I've replaced the tuners that came with the guitar to better quality tuners - Kluson KB3 Keystone Guitar Tuners. There are a couple of very minor scratches that come with the territory of playing a guitar.
This guitar has been majorly upgraded and is now a much better instrument than if you were to buy it new in Guitar Center. The guitar goes for 749.99 new. Factoring in the maintenance I have put into it along with the age of the guitar, if you were to buy it new and this work on your own, this guitar would cost you over $1000. It has been recently setup and the intonation has been checked out on 4/22/11 at Chelsea Guitars in Manhattan. If you're looking for a good looking and sounding hollow-body guitar, this is the guitar for you! Note: Included with the cost of the guitar is the guitar case ($115 value).
