Up for sale/trade is my 2010 Gretsch Malcolm Young signature guitar. I got it back in October, to put on a few tracks on a album we were recording. Now that the recording is over, I have little use for this guitar. Nothing is sadder than a guitar not being used, unloved in it's case, so I think it's time we parted ways.
This is almost mint, or at a Very Good condition. The stickers on all of the control cavities are even still on. On the top, it has 3 very, very light scratches, that can't even come up in the photos, they are only visible if you look for them, and are only on the outer finish of the guitar. On the back, there is the slightest bit of light buckle rash which is visible, but nothing major. It could probably be buffed out with some polish. The head stock has the same light and gentle scratches as the body, which might have come from a polish cloth. The badass bridge/tailpiece has some wear on it's left side, where a players had would sit. The same goes for the bridge pickup. Easily removed with a little polishing.
The fretboard is pristine, the neck is slim and fast. The guitar is equipped with two filtertrons, two tone switches, two guitar volume knobs, and one master volume knob. Serial Number is JT10081896. Comes with original case, and all the paperwork that came with it.
This guitar can cover a wide variety of sounds. Anything from country twang, to of course the AC/DC crunch, to a smooth warm classic rock sound. I used it with a Tweed Deluxe, and nailed the "Who's Next" tones! It really was a cool feeling. This guitar weighs about 7.3 pounds, if memory serves me correctly. Nice and light, perfect for live enviorments.
The pitcures really don't do any justice to this guitar. This Gretsch is pretty much as mint as they get, and try finding another one with the original paperwork.
I have more pictures if you need them, just ask! I will be happy to answer any questions about the guitar as well.
No returns. I will ship the day after the sale. Thanks, and happy bidding.
