Here is Gretsch's answer to, and some feel an improvement of, the Les Paul. The New Jet is somewhat hard to find and was only made 2001-2003 just before Fender bought Gretsch. According to the serial number this guitar was made in July, 2001, and was the 288th of this model produced.
Here are some specs for the MIJ (made in Japan) Gretsch G6114:
• Carved maple top with flamed maple lamination
• Mahogany body with comfort fit back
• 13" wide x 1.7" deep
• 2-pc mahogany neck
• Ebonized rosewood fingerboard
• "Jet" humped block inlays on fingerboard
• "T-roof" Gretsch pearl inlay on headstock
• Width at nut 1.7"
• 24.6" scale
• 22 jumbo frets joined at the 16th fret
• Adjustable truss rod
• Chrome Hardware
• Dual FilterTron pickups-TV Jones Design
• Pickup selector switch, master volume, master tone, 2 volume controls, straight side jack
• G-stop tailpiece - short
• Tune-O-Matic bridge
This guitar is in great, but not perfect, shape. There are some buckle impressions on the back, but the finish is not scraped off. There are three dings which we photographed up close. The metal rings around the pickups are getting dull. These are all small signs of use but I want to fully disclose imperfections.
We will pack well and ship the day payment is received.
