Gretsch Guitars

You are bidding on a Gretsch Historic Series Synchromatic Archtop guitar.  I purchased this beautiful instrument from an acquaintance in need of money and unfortunately for him, he didn't know what he had.  I checked with Gretsch in Savannah, Georgia and learned that this guitar is a prototype and one of a kind.  Gretsch made Synchromatic Guitars and archtops as well, but this guitar was a prototype that was never placed into production for some reason or another.  It is a hollow body archtop guitar with a single pickup near the fretboard.  It has a volume control knob on the pick guard.  This guitar is in MINT condition (It still has the plastic on the pickguard).  It plays like a dream and sounds wonderful, both plugged in and unplugged.  It has low to medium action and has the sweetest, mellow tone you can imagine.  It is one of a kind and would make quite the addition to your collection.  The fretwork and setup are impeccable.  You have to hold this beauty in your hands to truly appreciate it. 

This guitar has F style sound holes, which creates a unique tone.  In some of the pictures, you can see the tag (Model X) through one of the soundholes.  Again, this is a prototype guitar so I am told you will NOT find another one like it as this is a one of a kind Archtop Jazz guitar.  You will not be sorry if you win it.  I would keep it myself, but I do not play Jazz or Country music, where this guitar would absolutely blow you away. 

This beauty comes with an original Gretsch hardshell case, black exterior with "Gretsch" in gold writing and a maroon plush interior.  See photos.
