This is a Gretsch Synchromatic electric guitar. It's a solid body, not the archtop hollow body. I bought it four years ago because I was playing in a Beatles tribute band, and it had the look. The body is glossy black in the front, mahogany brown in the back. It has Gretsch pickups and a white, pearlescent pickguard with Gretsch printed on it. Gretsch and Synchromatic also are printed on the head. The neck is maple; I think the fingerboard is rosewood. It has 22 frets. The neck is straight and true, the action good. I've had no problems at all with its playing or keeping it in tune. No, it's not an expensive, American made Gretsch. If it was, I'd be selling it for major bucks. But I've had several of those guitars, including a '60s Country Gentleman, and to me this one plays and sounds about as good and has the Gretsch tone and look without costing a fortune. I don't know the serial number. It's not on the head or the back, so it might be inside somewhere but I don't want to take it apart to find out. The guitar is in excellent condition. You have to look hard to see the few small marks it does have on the back. Sorry, no case, but it will be professionally packed, shipped and insured for the purchase price. Buyer to pay actual shipping costs, which are likely to be different from the e-bay calculation based on estimated weight. Depending on where you live, I'd guess somewhere in the neighborhood of $25. Good luck and happy bidding.
