Up for auction is this near-perfect 2007 Line 6 Variax 700 guitar in the gorgeous Cherryburst finish, with the tremolo system. This guitar was Made in Japan, not China, Korea or Indonesia. Line 6 has announced that all future Variaxes will be made in either Korea (with street prices starting at around $1100) or in the USA ($3400 and up), so YOU decide if this is a better value! This Variax has a deeply carved Ash top over Mahogany; it will remind you of a PRS. The neck is C-shaped, one-piece hard rock maple with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard and the "rounded-rectangle" inlays, plus an abalone "V" at the 12th fret -- very classy! I'm including the heavy-duty gigbag, the manual, the un-used registration card and the tremolo arm.
If you're reading this you probably already know about the tremendous versatility of these guitars, with the ability to re-create the sounds of over 25 vintage instruments at your fingertips. You've probably seen the list of guitars, banjo, sitar, etc., that this emulates (if not, see the last picture -- you'll be amazed!), and if you need more information please go to www.line6.com/products/instruments to find out more about this incredible guitar.
I have owned over 1800 guitars, including over 200 Fender Strats and 150 Gibson Les Pauls in over 40 years of playing guitar professionally, and I think I'm qualified to vouch for the accuracy of the Variax emulations. Line 6 has digitally sampled every nuance of some very special instruments, and I have found that the sounds stored inside THIS guitar are much better than what you'll find in most newer Fenders and Gibsons. No, I'm not exaggerating -- I have compared them side by side many times. This guitar sounds exactly like a real '58 Les Paul, and a real '59 Strat, a real 1968 Tele, a real Firebird, a real Gretsch, a real Rickenbacker, several expensive acoustics . . . you get the idea. Plus there's no hum, ever. If you haven't tried a Variax yet, you owe it to yourself to do it soon, and this is one of the best deals you'll ever see on such a gorgeous example.
This Variax is rock solid and dependable. Cosmetically it's in nearly perfect condition too! There is one slight dent in the finish on the side, barely noticeable. There are no scratches, breaks, cracks or structural damage of any kind, and the electronics work perfectly. Again, I'm including the tremolo arm, the user's manual, the un-used registration card and the original heavy-duty padded gigbag. I don't have the footswitch but I'll include 6 brand new AA batteries, and of course if you have a Vetta or POD XT Live or X3 you can use a VDI cable to power (and control) it.
UPS Ground shipping and insurance are only $39. Please check my feedback and bid in complete confidence; after ten years and thousands of transactions on eBay I still have a 100% positive feedback rating, and I'm proud to be a long-time eBay Platinum PowerSeller with over THREE THOUSAND positives.
This is the perfect axe for your tone toolbox. This Variax 700 is an entire guitar collection in one very high quality instrument.

So what's this "Bing" stuff all about? Microsoft is trying to compete with Google with their cool new Bing search engine. So for a limited time they're offering cash rebates on merchandise that was "found" using their site! You can get more information on the program by using the following link: http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/questions/cashback.html. The program is scheduled to end on July 30th. I don't work for Microsoft so I can't guarantee that this will still be in effect when you read this, so act fast!!!
I ALWAYS pay for insurance on the items I sell (and I think all eBay sellers should do so). Shipping and insurance are only $39 for UPS Ground shipping to anywhere in the "lower 48" states. I CAN ship to some foreign countries but I can't list a flat rate here because of the many variables inherent to international shipping.
