Up for grabs is my precious but seldom played 1991 Gretsch 6122S Country Classic I.
In overall excellent shape minus some player wear as seen it the photos (chipped headstock corner, worming on the back, scrape on the upper waist, etc).
I replaced the Bigsby for a Gretsch branded wire armed model (new $200) and the pup rings, which were cracking.
Pickguard is included as too is the hard case.
You will notice in one of thew photos that there is a minor skink stripe lacquer split, just due to temperature change here on the Island.
It is not due to voer tightening of the truss rod etc, the lacquer crack is not even felt witht he hand.
There is loads of truss movement both ways as it was when new and I am the 2nd owner of this more rare guitar.
Frets are still in good shape with lots of life left & the ebony fretboard is mint.
Minus the Bigsby and rings it is 100% original and plays and sounds like a dream!
I have not played it in about 6 months so you might have to give it a little set up, clean the pots etc...too many guitars!
From what I have read the pre-FMIC Gretsch's were hit and miss but this partiucular model is a definite hit!
