Designed by George Harrison (& the boys), this
is the best version of these guitars. The TW-500 was a limited edition, very
rare, and a higher quality than the TW-300, which is the one you normally
see. All of these were individual designs . No two were alike. This
guitar is mint (new) and unplayed, in the original box with the original
packing. The back of the guitar features the Traveling Wilbury graphics
with facsimile autographs of each of the 5 band members.
For anyone that does not know: The Traveling
Wilburys were a 'supergroup' with George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Roy
Orbison and Tom Petty - with drummer Jim Keltner.
George (Nelson or Spike Wilbury) played a custom
guitar like this one in the Wilburys music videos.
The
Traveling Wilburys guitar was the first guitar off the Gretsch lines when
business started up again in 1988.
