Gretsch Guitars

For sale is my 1960's Gretsch 6072 hollow body bass.  IF THE BUY IT NOW IS USED I WILL SPLIT THE SHIPPING COSTS!!!  Commonly referred to as the "Country Gentleman" however it was never actually called that through Gretsch.  Its a fantastically cool instrument however bills come first so this is the one to go.  Its in great shape for its age with the usual wear and tear that is come to be expected from an instrument of this age.  It was definately played and I'm sure has some stories to tell!  The great news is that it plays and sound amazing!  The neck is straight and the pickups are killer.  The pots and the rest of the electronics look to be original and everything functions as it should.  The only issue I can think of is the input jack is sometimes scratchy however it isn't an issue.  There are no breaks in the neck and no neck repairs.  The gold hardware looks cool and aged as you'd expect.  The pad on the rear is in decent shape and the ever so common binding rot that runs rampant on Gretschs hasn't done too much to affect this bad boy.  It's currently strung up with GHS  105s.  The neck is big and girthy and the bass has a 34" scale.  You don't see a lot of these old guys around. especially with 2 pickups.  No case is included however it will be shipped in a big fat box designed to withstand the rigours of the mail system.  Paypal only.
