This is a no reserve price auction so highest bidder wins but I have been asked for a BIN price from multiple buyers so I have added it to the listing.  Once a bid is placed the BIN price will disapear.  The BIN price is low due to the fact this guitar does need some TLC (mostly cosmetic)
 
This is a vintage Gretsch.  I believe it's from the70's and may be the Beast.  It was purchased used in the early 80's by the father of a friend of mine and he has had it ever since.  It has been cherished but has gone through stages from teen years to 40's and I think it got stuck somewhere in the te 80's.  The body was once painted yellow (KISS phase) and then revarnished by a friend who was smart to keep his day job.  All joking aside.  This is a great instrument but needs some tender loving care to bring it back to where it will shine in appearance.  I don't know about playing guitars and my knowledge of guitars is very limited.  I will try to give you as much condition information as I can.  I've heard this guitar played many times and it sounds great and was loved by its owner.
 
If the body were sanded and revarnised it would be beautiful.  This is a solid wood body so it wouldn't be too hard to accomplish this.  I would do it myself if I knew how to take the parts off and put them back on but I don't want to even attempt that. 
 
The piece that shows some yellow paint on it in the second picture is loose and may just need to be tightened or may need replaced.  There is one screw missing on the pickguard.  The small switch beside the knobs is loose but still works.  The neck shows hand wear on the back.  The neck is straight. 
 
This guitar is being sacrificed for financial reason otherwise it would not be sold since it has a lot of sentimental value.  Please give this wonderful vintage guitar a new home and create your own history with it. 
 
I have estimated the shipping weight and if it is less once it is packed for shipping I will refund any overage on shipping cost.
